Another week has gone by and here we are with another Friday Development update!
Halo: CEA Flights Started
As we mentioned in our previous Halo Dev Update, flights for Halo:CEA were right around the corner. Well that corner has past and as of today users have been logging into and testing Halo: CEA. Go visit your favorite content creators on YouTube or Twitch to check out all the great content coming out from the flight. I’ll be sure to showcase some of that on Sunday as we wrap up the best creator content of the week.
Invites for the flight went out to 100k users, many have not yet logged in so be sure to check your spam and junk folders just in case it ended up in there. 343i gave us some information for criteria for being selected:
“As a side note, the team did specifically work to prioritize folks who haven’t had a chance to participate in prior flights along with carrying over players who have a history of active engagement.“
Halo Flight Testing Points:
Halo: Reach Updates / New Features:
- Message of the Day added
- Datacenter pings are now visible
- Push-to-talk voice chat and Push-to-talk key binding
- New crouch-while-moving behavior for mouse+keyboard
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
- Includes support for several missions of Single Player and Co-Op Campaign
- Multiplayer (Matchmaking and Custom Games)
- New Customization (3D model viewer)
That’s all for now. We’re looking forward to seeing what some of our favorite content creators come up with when they start reviewing Halo: CEA.
